Biography

I became a massage therapist because I love being able to help other people to live with less pain and more joy. I'm grateful to now have the opportunity to do that in beautiful Sechelt, B.C. I am a Registered Massage Therapist, which means that your insurance may help cover your visits with me. I began my professional life with a business degree (Cornell University), but it felt unsatisfying and then in my late twenties I began to suffer from job related low back pain. A co-worker suggested I see her massage therapist. These treatments, along with a remedial exercise routine and some life style changes went a long way to managing my discomfort. My own positive changes led me to want to help others receive the same results so I returned to school and graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1999. Over the years I have volunteered to help people with HIV/AIDs, and worked with such diverse populations as MS sufferers, student athletes, and the elderly. As a Registered Massage Therapist, I received over 3000 hours of academic and practical training in order to bring you safe and effective treatment. From this base I continually renew and grow my skills with continuing education courses. It is very gratifying to see patients return to good, functional movement and begin to enjoy their daily activities with increasing ease and freedom. If you would like to chat about your health needs and how massage therapy could benefit you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
